Director of the Center for Law and Entrepreneurship Barbara Bader Aldave earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, with distinction, from Stanford University in 1960, and her doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1966. After practicing law for several years, she joined the faculty of the University Of Oregon School Of Law in 1970. She subsequently taught at the law schools of the University of California at Berkeley , the University of Texas , Northeastern University , Boston College , and Cornell University . From 1989 through 1998, she served as the Dean of St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio , Texas . In the fall of 2000, she returned to the University of Oregon , where she now holds the Loran L. Stewart Chair in Corporate Law and directs the Center for Law and Entrepreneurship.Throughout most of her career, Professor Aldave has taught courses in business associations, securities regulation, and constitutional law. She has written a number of influential articles on securities fraud and insider trading, and for ten years served as an editorial consultant for a five-volume treatise entitled Texas Corporations — Law and Practice. A nationally recognized expert on corporate governance and fiduciary responsibilities, Professor Aldave has testified in dozens of cases involving claims by or against business corporations, partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and nonprofit organizations. She is a lifetime member of both the American Bar Foundation and the Federación Interamericana de Abogados. |

Director of the Small Business Clinic Katherine Moyer Moyer is a founding shareholder of Endeavor Law Group, P.C., a business law firm in Eugene, Oregon, with a primary focus on start-up and emerging businesses. Her practice focuses on corporate and business law, with an emphasis on securities law issues. Moyer advises and assists clients with respect to business entity choice and formation, founder agreements, key employee relationships and incentive compensation plans, and other commercial transactions. She also represents companies engaged in capital-raising efforts in private placements ranging from seed financing rounds to venture capital investments.Moyer began practicing law at large firms in Indianapolis, Indiana and Portland, Oregon. She earned her B.A. in 1981 from Earlham College and J.D. in 1990 from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. Prior to becoming director of the Small Business Clinic, Moyer served as the clinic’s supervising attorney. |

Supervising Attorney for the Small Business Clinic Mindy Wittkop currently serves as in-house counsel for Builder’s Electric, Inc. in Eugene, Oregon. She also works with Adjunct Instructor Jolie Russo to oversee Oregon Law’s Judicial Externship Program.Previously Ms. Wittkop was an attorney for 12 years with the local firm Gartland, Nelson, McCleery, Wade & Walloch P.C. Her practice emphasized business transactions, real estate, creditor’s rights and litigation. She began her career as a clerk for the Hon. David V. Brewer.Ms Wittkop is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law. She is a past-president of the Lane County Bar Association and is a member of the law school’s alumni association board.Ms. Wittkop joined the Small Business Clinic as a supervising attorney in August 2010. |

Administrative Coordinator for the Center for Law and Entrepreneurship Laurie Strother earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Portland State University. She was a travel agent in Portland for ten years. During the 1990s, Ms. Strother was a participating owner of a family corporation in Eugene. The wholesale distribution business grew to four locations in Oregon.Prior to joining the Small Business Clinic Ms. Strother was an advocate for the Child Advocacy Center and the Victim Services Program at the District Attorney’s Office. |
