PIPs Service Day: LESA members volunteer

LESA Board members participated in the 5th Annual Public Interest Public Service (PIPS) Day by volunteering to assist the Friends of Mount Pisgah organization. Board members Melissa Beyer, Joshua Brown, Adam Gottlieb, Rachael Kim, Anne LaPorte, Joel Lohrmeyer, Tom Moseman and Marie Yang braved steep, muddy hills, as they spent the morning and afternoon removing non-native plant species, which threaten the native habitat of the Mount Pisgah hillsides.

LESA was joined by the UO's Land Air Water (LAW) society for what Friends of Mount Pisgah organizers announced was "the best single day effort ever!"
