Outstanding Student in Law and Entrepreneurship Award, 2008-09

Benjamin C. Stoller

Professor Aldave, Director of the Center for Law and Entrepreneurship, is delighted to announce that Ben Stoller has been chosen the Outstanding Student in Law and Entrepreneurship for 2008-09.  Ben will receive a check in the amount of $1,000, and his name will be inscribed on a plaque that is permanently installed in the Center.

Kevin Parks' letter nominating Ben for this year's award notes that Ben "was a TEP Fellow during this last summer, and he has quite literally worked tirelessly and endlessly in pursuit of a career in law and entrepreneurship.  During the summer, and nearly every day since, Ben has spent countless hours, well into each evening, working on project proposals with the other members of his business school team."

Modestly enough, Kevin acknowledges that he himself "cannot understand even a bit of [Ben's] project (something to do with MRI machines)," but says that "Ben has become singularly devoted to pursuing this passion, and watching him work is a study in determination and dedication."  Yet, despite his preoccupation with Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ben "has found time to serve in leadership roles in SELF and the SBA -- while also operating a viable graphic design practice."

Finally,, Kevin predicts that "starting businesses and helping them grow will define Ben's career path upon graduation."  Whatever direction Ben's career path may ultimately take, however, Professor Aldave harbors the hope that he will remain available to serve as a fourth for bridge every now and then.

Congratulations, Ben!
